The universal iris motor is a compact and universal iris motor that can be pivoted to almost any lens by simply attaching it to a 15mm tube. The CDM-LP-I universal motor unit seamlessly integrates with the operating functions of any camera with Hirose 12pin Lensport communication. The servo drive is controlled via the camera's Hirose 12pin output. The motor control can be addressed via the camera-specific broadcast protocol and also works in conjunction with e.g. the Chrosziel MetaMount E-to-PL adapter.
The Chrosziel Universal Iris Motor now allows the optimal use of all manual zoom and fixed focal lengths in conjunction with any camera with Hirose 12pin output. To do this, the iris motor is slid onto a 15mm tube and pivoted to the zoom or fixed focal length lens. The Hirose 12pin spiral cable makes the connection to the camera.

MANUAL PASSIVE MODE:
For temporary manual control, the motor can be set to passive mode. Simply press the motor button once briefly and the motor can be rotated freely. Once the button is pressed again, the motor is back in Active mode and is controlled by the camera.
METADATA:
To set up, connect the cable to the Hirose 12pin connector on the camera. The motor will automatically calibrate and find the end stops of the lens. For metadata calibration, the motor must learn T-Stop 4 and 16. By long pressing the single button, the motor enters passive mode and the user can rotate the motor without resistance. The motor is rotated to T-Stop 4 and pressing the button again confirms the position. Then the motor is turned to T-Stop 16 and the position is confirmed with another keystroke. Done!

REMOTE CONTROL OF IRIS AND AUTOIRIS
The iris motor is used in a remote setup and is controlled via the RCP or WebGUI of any camera with Hirose 12pin connector. Or it is controlled via the camera's AutoIris functionality and the camera uses the Chrosziel Univeral Iris Motor for AutoIris control.
