By attaching a mechanical gimbal collar and weighted base to the post of the gimbal, the stabiliser arm greatly reduces the bouncing image effect on the z-axis while walking. This results in more natural-looking manual camera pan movements and a wider range of motion, including low mode. Additionally, transferring the system weight to the hips reduces operator fatigue and increases operating time.
Its important to note that the Steadimate-S is only for operators who already own a Steadicam system and does not include the stabiliser arm or vest. However, for those who do own a Steadicam system, the Steadimate-S offers increased freedom, endurance, and creative opportunities when working with single-handed motorised stabilisers. It eliminates the bouncing image effect and provides x-axis and y-axis stabilisation, while the Steadicam arm provides z-axis stabilisation.
