Product description:

Flashing light with a flash output of 250 Ws and a modeling light with 200 W. It is continuously adjustable via 4 f-stops and can be equipped with the optional RC-7 cable remote control. All settings of the strobe light can be regulated via the RC-7; the original device settings are retained. If the RC-7 is disconnected from the device, they are available again. The setting safe function also allows the device settings to be saved permanently. Further equipment features are: acoustic and optical flash control, power reduction without flashing, digital power display in 1/10 f-stops in combination with a rotary control, triggering via a synchro cable or photocell (can be switched off). At maximum flash output, the longest flash burn time is 1/800 of a second. This makes the F 250 particularly suitable for portraits; it is ideal for use in the areas of Still, Food and Products. The light is compatible with digital and analog cameras and, thanks to the short burn-off times, allows the use of very short flash synchronization times for medium and large format lenses with a central shutter.

Extract from the data sheet:

FLASH POWER and FLASH FUNCTIONS

The flash output of the HEDLER F 250 flash light is continuously adjustable over a range of 4 f-stops, with a reduction in the

Flash output is no manual flashing necessary, the adjustment is made automatically electronically.

At maximum flash output, the maximum flash duration is 1/850 second, which makes the use of the largely shake-proof

and especially for portrait and fashion shots, an advantageous synchronous time of 1/500 of a second is permitted. Please check which ones

shortest sync time your camera offers. Please note: If the camera falls below the shortest sync time, the upper

or a part of the lower long side of the picture is underexposed or shadowed.

The flash head can be triggered via the supplied sync cable or via the photocell. If several flash heads are used, so

synchronized tripping can be done in two ways:

a) a flash head is connected to the SYNC connection with the camera using a sync cable and triggered when the camera is triggered, all

further flash heads whose photocell has been switched on (switch AUGESYMBOL to position I or II) are also triggered;

b) an infrared trigger is attached to the camera, the respective photocell is switched on at the flash heads; when triggering the

Camera then all flash heads are triggered together. This wireless solution has the advantage of greater freedom of movement in the studio or

on location, for technical and practical reasons we therefore recommend the use of an infrared trigger.

The F 250 is equipped with a 200 W modeling light to assess the effects of light and shadow in the image. The switch is located

PILOT SET in position I, the light intensity of the modeling light becomes continuous when the flash output setting of the F 250 is changed

adapted, one also speaks in this context of a "proportionally moving modeling light". In position II the

The luminous intensity of the modeling light is also adapted to a changed flash output. In this switch position, however, the modeling light for

the duration of the automatic loading / unloading is switched off and indicates the flash readiness by switching it on again. This function can

can therefore also be used as an optical flash control.

In unfavorable conditions, with strong reflections or black / matt materials that require the camera to focus

is problematic, the PILOT RANGE switch can be used to set the modeling light to full (switch position I) or half (switch position II)

Power can be set (only works if PILOT SET is on I or II). The flash output setting is not changed.

Spare parts / accessories are available from Helden in Runkel if required.
